In recent years credit funds and the private debt market have increasingly displaced lending to large corporates from banking institutions – with the US market leading the way for this trend.
One of the boutique players in this huge market – WhiteStar Asset Management – are now planning to use their Dublin office as operational hub to support their growth in both the US and European markets.
To support this, they are now seeking a CLO Operations Specialist with your chief role being to help coordinate the operational side of these investments with a focus on the trade settlement process.
You’ll also be ensuring cash reserves are capable of financing various deals to guarantee there is liquidity and generally monitoring cash flows and associated reconciliation.
With 3 finance warehousing facilities currently open, you’ll occasionally be looking at facilitating funding from those to include the monitoring of debt/equity ratios. For example, this could involve coordinating draw requests for subordinated noteholders.
In doing all this, a central part of your role will be in liaising with the relevant parties to include the deal trustees, counterparties, global fund finance, outsourced settlement teams as well as agent banks.
In short, you’ll be making sure everything runs smoothly on the operational side and from there overseeing the effective application of BAU tasks to ensure transactions and holdings are accurately reflected.
With a small team in Dublin managing low volume big deals, you’ll be involved in every aspect of effecting the successful onboarding of transactions and their ongoing upkeep.
A role where you’ll be getting your hands dirty while at the same time facing off competently with senior stakeholders in the firm.
Requirements for this Role
- Operational experience with various credit financial instruments (either CLO/CDO’s, syndicate loans, bonds, corporate trust or related products).
- Knowledge of operational aspects of loan administration and how deals should be set up in systems to be reflected correctly.
- Good understanding of market fundamentals in credit investment, public debt, corporate loans, etc.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
Please do send on whatever version of your CV you have at hand and would be happy to have a call to discuss in more detail from there.
