Job Description

Newly created position within a PE backed FMCG Group preparing for a period of growth and development. As a key member of the SLT working closely with the MD and Commercial Director, role will involve:

  • Playing a lead role in driving transformational growth within the business, strategic planning, driving sales and gross margin improvement and growing both through acquisition and organically
  • Providing ongoing commercially focused finance decision support, commercial negotiations support
  • Commercial Finance – developing business cases and scenario models and analysis for growth opportunities, driving profitability improvement initiatives, ROI analysis
  • Leading FP&A (forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management)
  • Leadership of the finance function (Controller and team)
  • Financial Reporting – monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Systems – supporting a new ER implementation, driving process improvement
  • Stakeholder Management – investors, banks, advisors and auditors
  • Management Reporting, KPI reporting with variance analysis
  • Preparation for, and presentation at Board Meetings

Requirements for this Role

Ideal candidate will have the following background:

  • Qualified Accountant, with progressive experience within a fast growing company preferably within the Retail, FMCG or Distribution sectors
  • Systems Savvy
  • M&A experience
  • Exceptional commercial, financial and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
