Job Description
An excellent position for a Qualified Accountant with an interest in philanthropy to join a high-impact foundation as Finance & Operations Manager. Working as part of a small team, role will involve:
- Supervising grant management and reporting on grantee performance, ensuring best use of resources
- Preparing performance-based budgets, and monitoring project expenses and grant performance
- Monitoring budgets, ensuring spend occurs as planned, anticipating variances and acting upon
- Preparing, reviewing and presenting internal management accounts, investment and ad-hoc reports for Board
- Ensuring funds are properly invested
- Supporting for preparation of monthly Board meetings
- Management of annual audit, and preparation of financial aspects of annual report
- Small amount of travel, up to c. 2-4 days /month to grantees
Requirements for this Role
Ideal candidate will have the following background:
- Qualified Accountant, from newly qualified level to very experienced
- Audit training background from practice
- Will have an interest in the Not-For-profit, charity and philanthropy sectors
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
