Job Description

Excellent opportunity for a highly ambitious candidate to join a high performing, world class Group Finance function within one of Ireland’s top Plc’s. Responsibilities will include:

  • Management and leadership of a first-class financial consolidation and reporting team
  • Review of the Group IFRS Consolidated Financial Statements, in a multinational multi-currency environment
  • Management of the interim/annual external financial reporting cycles , and overall preparation and publication of the Annual Report
  • Management and implementation of best practice financial reporting across the Group
  • Acting as a business partner for the Groups international divisions
  • Strong stakeholder management – internal and external
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies – new system implementations, and audit tender/transition projects
  • Assist in the Group financial budgeting process
  • Supporting Divisional Finance teams on relevant reporting issues
  • Preparation and review of Board and Audit Committee deliverables
  • Ad-hoc projects will be ongoing, including acquisition integration project work

Requirements for this Role

Ideal candidate will have the following background:

  • Qualified Accountant, with Big 4 training background, with a minimum of 6-10 years’ PQE
  • Relevant Financial Reporting experience, ideally within in a Plc environment
  • Strong people management and development skills and experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent technical accountings skills – IFRS, Consolidations, exposure to accounting complexities
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
