Job Description
An excellent opportunity to join an established and well capitalised renewable energy business as Group Head of Finance. Reporting to the CFO, and with significant senior management and board interaction, key responsibilities will include:
- Day to day and strategic management of the finance function, with responsibility for internal and external reporting, budgeting/forecasting and investor reporting.
- Regular attendance at senior management, board and investment committee meetings.
- Full oversight of risk, audit and finance governance programmes.
- Work closely with senior management around Investor Relations, M&A initiatives, transaction structuring/onboarding and key external stakeholder management (e.g. Banks & external advisors).
Requirements for this Role
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 10+ years’ PQE. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Leadership ability, including the ability to manage the finance team and to add value to the group leadership function with participation in leadership discussions, value building initiatives and strategy development.
- Commercial Experience – the ability to not just lead an operational finance agenda, but to manage commercial initiatives, include M&A assessment, investor relations/equity raising, negotiation of commercial agreements and deal management.
- Experience of managing a best in class environment, including the ability to deliver on process improvement/transformation and on other key agenda items in a timely and deadline oriented manner.
