Job Description
An exciting senior position has arisen with a global leader in aviation leasing. Based here in Dublin this highly critical role with involve responsibilities as follows:
- Provide advice on the accounting and financial reporting implications of proposed and actual transactions. Prepare formal written documentation of transactional accounting analysis and conclusions.
- Provide oversight, review, and coordination of the quarterly and annual flight equipment impairment processes for U.S. GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and Irish GAAP reporting purposes.
- Prepare and present quarterly Audit Committee materials related to judgmental and or significant transactions.
- Support and coordinate the annual U.S. GAAP and Dutch GAAP external audit process and act as key external audit contact related to judgmental and or significant transactions.
- Monitor and assess the Financial Accounting Standard Board (FASB) and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission standard setting activities.
Requirements for this Role

- Qualified Accountant, preferably with current or prior experience in a large audit firm, auditing large publicly listed companies.
- 10 years’ or more professional experience (PQE), ideally in the aircraft leasing sector.
- Highly expert in technical accounting including US GAAP.
- Strong relationship skills (ability to manage inter-departmental relationships (e.g., Portfolio Management, Strategic Planning and Analysis, Senior Executive Management) and externally with
independent auditors).
- Ability to effectively apply technical research and accounting concepts to proposed and or actual transactions.
